Where Home Meets Heart

PLANNING

Cody helped us lay the groundwork that turned this land into a real working farm. His presence is always felt here.

There is a part of Clarkmore Farm that will forever belong to Cody. Long before the cows ever stepped onto this land, he was here—planning, shaping, and helping us build the foundation for everything that was to come. He wasn’t just a helping hand; he was a close friend, a steady presence, and someone who poured both his heart and his skills into this place.

Cody worked alongside our local soil conservation team to install our ball waterers, a job that took knowledge, precision, and a whole lot of hard labor. He and his kids dug the trenches for the water lines, laid the pipe, and built the square concrete and rock bases that still sit solid and strong in our fields today. Every time we watch a cow get a drink, we see his work, his craftsmanship, and his care.

His impact didn’t stop there. He helped Jordan with fence posts and barn projects, always showing up with whatever equipment, tools, or ideas were needed. There’s a photo we’ll never forget—Cody using his skid steer to hoist Jordan up in the air so they could lock a post into place. Crazy? Yes. Hilarious? Absolutely. And perfectly them. That picture captures their friendship better than words ever could.

Even though he is no longer here on Earth, we still feel him at Clarkmore Farm. His work is in the soil. His fingerprints are on the structures. His spirit is in the laughter that echoes when we tell a “remember when Cody…” story. And in the quieter moments—in the calm mornings, the peaceful fields, the gentle rhythm of this place—there is a sense that he’s still watching over us.
