How Clarkmore Farm came to be....

In 2023, Jordan and I purchased the old French Farm — a piece of land held and cared for by the French family since the early 1960s. For decades, it was a true working farm, shaped by their hard work, commitment, and love for the land. When we stepped onto the property for the first time, we felt that history immediately — the stories in the soil, the memories in the fields, and the legacy woven into every fence line.

Today, Jordan and I are honored to carry that legacy forward. We’re not just living on this land; we’re building on the foundation the French family created so many years ago. Their beginnings gave Clarkmore Farm its roots — and now we’re writing the next chapter with the same spirit of care, stewardship, and deep appreciation for the life this place makes possible.

Blount County

Maryville is just about perfect — especially when my cows greet me at the fence line while the sun melts over the rolling East Tennessee hills. From the highest point on our property, the Smoky Mountains rise up in the distance, reminding me of just how lucky we are to live in a place as breathtaking as Blount County. It’s a peaceful kind of magic — one that grounds me, fills my heart, and inspires everything I do.

MEET THE HERD

The Cows

The Leading Ladies of Clarkmore Farm

Big Momma 1736

Our beloved white-faced cow was our very first — the one who made us fall even deeper in love with this life. She’s gentle, calm, and the kind of momma who sets the standard for the whole herd. In December 2024, she gave us Cookie, the very first calf born at Clarkmore Farm. She’s a true gem in our pasture — steady, nurturing, and the heart behind our growing herd. She’ll forever hold a special place in our story as the one who started it all.

Big Red 1806

Add a description ab Big Red was a little harder to tame at first, but she’s become a gentle giant with a heart of gold. In January 2025, she blessed us with our very first bull calf, marking another special milestone at Clarkmore Farm. She’s learning to lean into the attention (and the snacks!) and has naturally stepped into a leadership role within our herd. Big Red is strong, steady, and a beautiful reminder that trust grows with time — and a few treats along the way. out this item

Ruby

Ruby came from the hills of Roane County.  She’s living proof that good hay, fresh grass, clean water, and the right minerals can make all the difference. When we first brought her home — on a total camping-trip whim,  — she wasn’t looking her best. But in true Papaw Clark spirit, Jordan poured time, care, and knowledge into her, and he transformed Ruby into one of the best-looking cows on the farm. She gave us a new heifer calf this summer, and her comeback story is our favorite!!

Heifers

Beautiful, Chaotic, and Always Keeping Me Busy

Tooey 2L

Tooey, is, without question, the fattest and hungriest cow on the farm — and she owns it proudly. Despite her constant quest for snacks, she’s also the most touchable and people-friendly of the whole herd. Tooey will waddle her way right up to you for scratches, attention, and, of course, food. Her sweet nature and big personality make her one of the easiest cows to love, and she keeps us laughing every single day.

Maybelline 219/3L

Maybe it’s makeup, maybe it’s Maybelline. With her perfectly marked face and natural glam, she’s easily the most photogenic cow on the farm. She struts around like she’s ready for a commercial at any moment, and honestly, we can’t blame her — she’s gorgeous without even trying. Her darker eyelashes, darker lips and jowls, and that little touch of “eyeliner” give her a naturally stunning look that makes her our true pasture beauty queen.

FOUR 4L

This heifer... she is our wild child — the teenager of the herd who gets pushed around a little but still manages to keep everyone on their toes. She was the smallest of the triplets (2L, 3L, and 4L), but she’s growing into a strong, steady, and truly beautiful heifer. She’s learned to warm up to treats, and once she realized snacks were part of the deal, she became much easier to win over. She’s definitely pregnant and due any month now—most likely December 2025 or January 2026!

Thelma 78

Oh, Geena Davis- This heifer is tall, elegant, and absolutely stunning — and she came off the trailer in August with her partner just as fast as that movie scene! She’s still warming up to us, taking her time and keeping a little distance, but she’s learning that when the snacks come out, it’s worth venturing a bit closer. Each day she relaxes a little more, and we love watching her settle into life here at Clarkmore Farm, one curious step at a time.

Louise 65

Susan Sarandon is warming up to us beautifully. Once a little cautious, she now enjoys the occasional head rub and never turns down a snack. Tall and elegant just like her partner, she came to us from Cookeville and has settled into Clarkmore Farm with quiet confidence. At almost a year old, she’s poised to become a new momma next year, and we can already tell she’s going to be a good one. Susan brings grace, curiosity, and just the right amount of diva energy to our growing herd.

Calves at Clarkmore Farm

All calves born or acquired here at the farm

Cookie

Everyone knows she’s my favorite — and honestly, she knows it too. Cookie was the very first calf born here at Clarkmore Farm on 12/25/24. We barely had time to open Christmas presents before Big Momma decided it was showtime. It was the greatest gift we could have imagined, and even better, both of our boys were home to witness the cold Christmas miracle that became Cookie. As she’s grown, we’ve watched her little horns come in... Hook 'em Cookie!

Clementine 4

This little girl was also born on Christmas Day 2024, just up the road at our good friends Greenback Farm. We bought her to give us another heifer to grow out with Cookie. She is still thinking about whether she is willing to warm up to us, and of course, as the newest to the herd, she is picked on a little, but she is becoming part of the family, and we look forward to watching her grow.

CC1

Ruby's heifer calf born in July 2025 is turning out to be a dandy! CC1 is a darker than her mom and was petite when she was born, but again, that fresh grass, the mineral and good water seem to be helping her grow into a fine little heifer.

Mr. Freeze - sold 2025

Our first bull calf born January 2025, Victor, aka Mr. Freeze was appropriately named as he was born on the coldest day of the year! He not only survived that cold start, but thrived and really took shape. In August he took a trip to Athens Stockyard and while we enjoyed his wild side, mischievous tenancies - like opening gates he didn't need to, we are are using the proceeds to continue to expand the Clarkmore Farm herd.

Pip - passed 2025

This is the hard part of farming... Pip was a package deal with his mom Ruby and while she did everything right, little  Pip was full of curiosity from the day he arrived — always sticking his head in places it didn’t belong and finding adventure in every corner of the farm. Unfortunately, that curiosity eventually caught up to him. He got stuck in the gate between our waterers and passed away, and it was an incredibly hard day for our family.
